Pedal Pins in Flower Pot
This is a great gift for Mom. It's a quick, fun and easy crafts for the kids.
Materials:
- 4 Bic "round stick" pens - these are the type that have a cap, not the click type.
- Artificial flowers
- One small clay pot
- Floral tape
- Pot Filler (Rocks, Rice, Dry Beans)
- Decorative Ribbon
- Paint & Paint Brush (optional)
- Options: Decorative Coffee Cup instead of clay pot
Directions:
- Decorate clay pot with ribbon, pain or sharpie pens.
- Add your filler (rocks, rice, beans, whatever will hold the pens upright. Your pot is now complete. Place it aside while you make the flower pens.
- Wrap the floral tape around the stick of the pen starting just above the point of the pen. When using floral tape, stretch it as you wrap.
- Discard pen cap. For each pen, cut one flower off bunch leaving a short stem. Place stem along side pen and continue to wrap the floral tape around the pen and flower stem until you reach the top. Cut tape and smooth it.
- Place the flower pens into the in the pot and repeat all steps until you have the desired amount of pedal pens you want for your pot.
