Grilled Buffalo Wings

There is nothing like a good spicy chicken wing, celery and blue cheese! That is one of my favorite appetizers when we dine out. So I said hummmm lets make it a main dish and make it less fattening and put it on the grill. What a great idea that was! Now with this recipe I'm gonna give you 2 options Diva Style or from scratch. I know, I know, I said Diva Style is the Diva way but this is so simple it's ok to stray this time. ☺hahaha☺ !!!

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings, separated at joints
Sauce Recipe
  1. 1 cup hot sauce
  2. 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage
  3. cayenne pepper to taste
  4. ground black pepper to taste
  5. 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  6. 2 tablespoons honey (Optional)
Diva Style
  • 1 Bottle of Buffalo Wing Marinade

Directions

  1. Preheat a grill to medium heat.
  2. SCRATCH-In a large pot, mix together the hot sauce, cola, cayenne pepper, black pepper, honey and soy sauce.
  3. DIVA STYLE-Pour sauce in a large pot.
  4. Add the wings to the sauce.
  5. Place the pot to one side of the grill, so the sauce comes to a simmer.
  6. Use tongs to fish wings out of the sauce, and place them on the grill for 8 to 10 minutes. Then return to the sauce to simmer.
  7. Repeat step 6 2-4 times.
  8. Cook wings until thoroughly done and meat easily separates from bone.
  9. Serve right off the grill.
Serve with salad and blue cheese or ranch dressing!

Make it a Great Day!
