Hot Dog-dilla

If you have been following my blog for a while you know my family and I LOVE Hot Dogs. So when I came across this idea of making a quesedilla with hot dogs I thought hummm that might be pretty good. I thought it was very tasty and perfect for football parties. You can use what ever kind of hot dog or sausage style hot dog you prefer, beef, turkey, with cheese, spicy, etc.  If you like hot dogs you're gonna love this.....

What you need....
  • 6-8 (8-inch) flour tortillas (1 11 oz. package)
  • 1 1/2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup new york sharp cheddar shredded cheese
  • 4 hot dogs, thinly sliced diagonally
  • 1/2 cup sour kraut
  • Katsup
  • Spicy deli style mustard
  • Cooking oil
Directions.....
  1. Cook hot dogs (I cook them on my stove top grill).
  2. Warm tortillas in microwave.
  3.  Divide cheese, kraut and hot dog slices evenly among tortillas.
  4. Top each with remaining tortillas.
  5. If you have a stove top grill or electric griddle, spray with oil and place quesdilla's on griddle/grill then rest a small plate on quesadilla to weigh it down or close lid; cook for about 2 minutes, until golden underneath. Remove plate, flip quesadilla with a spatula, weigh down with plate and cook until cheese is melted and tortilla is crisp on other side, about 2 minutes. Keep warm. Repeat with remaining oil and quesadillas
  6. If you don't have a griddle/grill use a  medium skillet and repeat steps in #5.
  7. Cut each quesadilla with a pizza wheel or a large, sharp knife into 4 equal wedges.
Serve with condiments.
Chips and fruit make the perfect side items.
